@celloprofundo Thanks for the kind words He did a good version. Slim was know as the Hank Williams of the blues. Hank Jr even did this song in 1965 and made it a top 5 hit on the country charts..

@bluesdoor Learn something new everyday ; )..have to say you guys come closer to jim morrison than anybody I've heard since 1970 ; )....trying to think of the Stones song where they sang about slim harpo on their Exiles on m.street album..wanna say hip-shake boogie but I don't think that was the title.Casino boogie?..didn't they and zep catch a lot of flack for not giving song-writing credit to the blues masters..called it 'nicking' ; ).or did it work both ways as far as popularizing the blues?

I had a blind friend that told me he could tell how big people were by the sound of their voice, Ever notice that guys who LOOK like someone usually SOUND like them as well. My Blind friend called it accoustics. Their voices sound alike because similar neck and throat features...Makes sense to me, Great band Thanks!!. Best version othet than Slim I ever heard

@bluesdoor Standing on the shoulders of giants ; )...love the boogie ! I remember sitting in my car at 17 and hearing on the radio Jim Morrison was dead..dis-belief and sadness at the same time..it's not til later when you find how they died a bit of anger and "how could they do something so stupid?" ..and what a waste..having lost several great friends that way the trail of devastation they leave behind is tragic..but it's like they say, you never know what goes on behind closed doors..thanks
