An elderly couple had to leave their house and stay with their son because water filled their house damaging property amounting up to lakhs of rupees. According to Nandalal (71) and Shobha Peswani (64) both residing in Sukhmani co-op housing society in Juhu Vile Parle Development Scheme on Wednesday night left their house alleging the builder damaged the floor of the upper level house and purposely left the tap open. This resulted into flooding in Peswanis house, which is located on the ground floor of the building.
Nandalal alleges that, the builder Baboo Gupta of Moonland Developers offered him a house on the upper floor after in the redevelopment project. I denied signing the agreement with the builders because they were offering me less space and even a house on the upper floors. My wife has knee problems she cant climb stairs. I categorically explained the reason to the builder but he refused to pay any heed to my requests. He started torturing us, he said.
