After being with a paid/volunteer fire dept for 2 years and going from a junior member to a senior member, you truly understand what Hauling a*s means. lol. Especially when your pager reads "heavy smoke & visible flames" and you driver drives a little bit faster than usual.

Is that a 3 or 4 axle ladder or even bigger? who makes it? and how heavy is that beast? It don't exactly get up and go like that pumper did! That thing was gone before you even pulled out the house! Great video!
-
@firemandave334 Well no see at our fire house we got a latter that ways like 3 tons and we can get it to go faster then you guys are like you guys are only going about 60, 50.... MPH well we can get ours up to about 80

damn that pumper sure as hell wasnt wasting any time
-
Ok, he used the Q to warn people that COULD be driving on a side street and coming on to that road and at intersections. Great video and lots of strobes! U guys use ALOT of amber on your rigs!
-
Wow! Thanks for the ride!
I've watched a few of your videos. Does the engine driver just driver faster? Or are you guys going slower. I know the ladders big, but the engine has water on board so t hat slows it down too.

We are both running Detroit D60 motors, and there is about 30,000 lb difference between my ladder and the engine we are housed with, those joker runoff and leave me every time. lol Cost of driving the better looking truck I guess

yea, they left at the same time. He just has the advantage of a lighter truck with the same size motor as mine.
