  • You are my new favorite trainer- I'll be recommending you. I have always used ground obstacles in lunging and ground work. Keeps things interesting and keeps 'em paying attention to you and their feet instead of what's happening elsewhere. You are the first trainer I have seen do this as well.

    Love your common sense methods.

  • Thank you, I truly appreciate it.

  • I take it u mean "having nice colts"means ones with a brain. My daughter went to get one few days ago and when she got there they still couldnt catch it. She looked the herd over and picked a great colt who got in the trailer with little coaxing and lunged great within 15 mins. Everyone thinks he has been worked but had only been halter broke. Enjoy your videos.

  • Thank you, I appreciate it. This colt is now working on a local ranch.

  • im on cam and bored

energetic fun smart and loves this video ys

  • Nope, they are crowded together & can't do much.I hate to say to much on here as I don't want to get anyone hurt.Have a good stiff lead rope to leave draggin on the halter after the trainer gets it on & things will start to go a lot faster.Any questions PM me & I can maybe help..

  • They didn't kick at you?

Thanks for all your help, I did try the halter again, I talked real sweet to her, moved real slow up to her side, she put me in my place so I am gonna have to wait for the trainer :( Dangit! I wish I didn't love this filly so much! Something about those blue eyes of hers!! I have shown horses all my life, but never started one from scratch like this. I'm thinking that riding a bronc would be easier than this! LOL! :)

  • LOL,I'm just an old cowboy that just tries to show people some things that most anyone can do to make their horses nicer to be around & be safe doing it. But thank you for the compliment!!

  • I just walked into a crowded trailer & got um on these,ya get your toes stepped on some but it's an easy way to do it for the first time..I think you said you have a trainer coming, just wait & have them help you.I hate to comment not knowing you or your facility's.

  • Ps...if you don't already, you should hold horsemanship clinics especially in Ga, hint hint! :-)
