The Mumbai fire brigade fought the fire at the Taj Mahal Hotel, while evading terrorists' bullets. It was a difficult job of rescuing 500 people, considering the fighters could not even enter the hotel. Also, they had just two bullet proof jackets for 200 firemen. The Taj burnt in fits and starts for 58 hours.
