There are no more words to describe this. I agree with all that has been said. I only wish I had a DVD of it and could also see it live. If I am ever miraculously lucky enough to see this live I shall be in heaven.

I love this piece

I saw it live with RSB when I was training there and Marie Lindquist is an amazing dancer. All of them are good but Marie is the best. She is the girl who does the grand jeté into a relevé arabesque twice in one of the solo bits...

Ted you lucky dog seeing it live! Grrrr! I have to agree with you regarding Marie, she has a perfectly proportioned body with crisp clean lines and total control. She looks very tall.

I CAN'T BELIEVE I AM SEEING THIS!! I first saw this piece years ago in one of my ballet classes and I was left speechless. I love everything about this piece. It is a balletic marvel and seeing it again only reaffirms the emotions I felt the first time i saw it. I have never seen such beauty and athleticism wrapped up in a perfect and precise package. Thank you for posting this piece. I am extremely greatful!

This is one of the most moving ballets I have ever seen. Even though this was choreographed a while ago this is the direction that most ballet companies are moving towards. Excellent job Mr. Dove... I would love to see an all black cast. What??????OMG!!!!!!! RIP Mr. Dove

Marie Lindquist rocks! She is such an amazing dancer. All of them in this piece were amazing but Marie keeps me under her spell from the first count she comes in stage :)

Wow. I have not seen this in years! I actually worked on this show and got to know Ulysses before he died. We taped this in June 1994 (ironically on the same day that the cops were chasing OJ. We were so glued to the TV that it delayed production). This was filmed as part of the PBS series Great Performances. The title of this show was Dance in America: Two by Dove. It also featured a piece called Vespers performed by the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.
