A community was on song for an emotion charged meeting discussing the fate of Cumbria's smallest school.
Tempers flared as around 70 residents packed into Captain Shaw's Hall for a meeting with Cumbria County Council officers discussing the proposed closure of Captain Shaw's School in Bootle.
During a heated question and answer session council officers were branded 'liars' before a former pupil burst into song.
Parents and governors joined the chorus before the school's 16 pupils stole the show, marching into the meeting performing a rendition of Jessie J's Price Tag.
Sensational. Too many schools are being closed. Nobody seems to be looking at the bigger picture.
