My 2000 Ford Taurus w/the DOHC engine...car has been running for about 2 minutes. Putting vehicle in drive and revving it up to 2000rpm while mashing the brakes and using the parking brake. Also shifting between reverse and drive when not revving the engine. Checking the motor/engine mounts.

  • Sure that's the DOHC? Usually it would say Duratec on top like my old Contour 2.5 did, this looks like the Vulcan 3.0 to me...you'd know, the Duratec will burn a hell of a lot more rubber than the Vulcan...

  • @yellowmusicfreak It's brazed (?) into the black plastic valve cover up front. Drat YouTube won't let me post a link to a picture.

  • Thats not a diesel engine. Its a gasoline engine.

  • @jordy19892012 Pretty sad...it sounds like one huh LOL

  • @yellowmusicfreak that valve cover is huge it definitely is a DOHC engine

  • @studpuppy69 the turd vulcan is way better than the duratec

  • @yellowmusicfreak how would he not know the vulcan looks completly different

  • @Duratec86 Not worth the money. The car isn't worth much now. The B pillar and C pillar, I've driven newer cars I drive an '06 Sonata I don't have the blind spots. The Camaro and FJ Cruiser is a great example of blind spots. I set my mirrors so I can just barely see the side of the car, I'm familiar with pushing them all the way out but that's not the way they are supposed to be set.

  • @studpuppy69 Yea...there are a number of upgrades one can do to the car to make it more enjoyable to drive. Struts and springs with OEM upper strut mounts can help, so can sway bars. If you adjust your mirrors right, you can pretty much see a full 180 behind you, the blind sports are worse in newer cars. And yea...butt looks better than front!

  • @Duratec86 My mom has a 00 with a Duratec she bought used in 2002 I believe. I thought it was the best car ever. Well, after getting my license and driving it I disagree. The ride is very floaty, too many blind spots, just not a comfortable car. Power really isn't that great after driving newer vehicles. Sorry Taurus, no thanks. Least it didn't have the turd Vulcan motor. The rear of the car looks way better than the front.

  • @brandonsexywhitaker Wow...really? That's the best thing you could come up? LOL Your comment is lame, fail :)
