  • Dear Amos Lee, please continue to make music and be an awesome person. <3.

  • I really like that he's humble enough to admit he doesn't know or understand it all - especially concerning running or maintaining a country. I do, however, think he is playing a bit coy in explaining his intent. I understand artistic license, but the lyrics here are quite literal. Come on, he's a next generation flower child! :) heh

  • @RainbowAddiction

Btw, what's right with WAR??? :-(

  • amos lee makes amazing music, you'll have to agree, no matter what your political stance is :D

  • How come I can't find one video of this song that's not a bad live recording? I wanted to blog it!

  • Violence never takes the pain away.... none of my friends understand this concept. lol Death penalty, bad... hence the bumper sticker I saw: "Why do we kill people who kill people, to show that killing people is wrong?"

This song is waaaay up there on my "Believing in the humanity of people" list...

That made no sense... I think.

  • this song is great, thanks

  • hes not a politician. But that doesnt hinder the difference. Hes doing what he can do. nice man - thanks for not doing it for "right & wrong".

  • Well, he did straight out say that he didn't agree with war, but does it even matter? It's what the music means to YOU.

  • wow - he's actually BEING a politician about his music. the essence of modern politics is found in misguiding the public to push through one's agenda, and that's just what he's doing. if he thinks his fans will actually buy this explanation, he's insulting their intelligence. I mean, he says -

"While the leaders will deny defeat /

innocents testify by dying in the street"

I think he should embrace the fact that it works on so many levels, not play coy
