i am glad i stumbled upon this clip... i said too a freind of mine. hearns and mclellan are so alike it would be like watching the same person fight, and well well well...i was right.. two great fighters.... i wish mclellan all the best, i hope when his freind's retire they remember him...

2 of my favourite fighters, both always went for the knockout and were ferocious punchers, probably the 2 biggest punchers in middleweight history
-
@2010MujahidBoxing It's just an exhibition, they don't take place much nowadays, but in the past, they were regular occurence. Sparring sessions which made a few bucks here and there, that's all really.

WHAT A STAREDOWN THAT MUST HAVE BEEN!! Damn
-
@osbornehunter julian jackson fought mcclellan and got knocked out its on you tube
-
@jurdoc11 What kind of garbage are you talking? Not only was Hearns more explosive than either (WTF are you on about "awkward"?), but he was past his prime by the time these guys came into prominence, fighting at a higher weight. That's the "reason" the fights never came off. And if you're to judge based on this footage, you can clearly see who the superior boxer is, and it ain't McClellan.

Man I wish I could train with guys like Emanuel Steward..... Here in my country boxing sucks.
-
There is a reason Hearns never fought G-Man or Julian Jackson. He would've been blown away. Both were far too explosive for awkward Hearns.
-
Tommy Hearns looks really good here, hands down against a hard puncher etc,he was never this loose when he was actually fighting!!!LOL
-
prime for prime this would have been a good fight, they are very similair
did Jullian Jackson ever fight these guys? he was a banger too..i too lazy to look it up..haha

McClellan was 21. So it couldn't have been 1990.

It is 1990. Whered u hear McClellan was 21? Listen to the introductions, it says Tommy Hearns will be fighting Michael Olajide on Saturday night and that fight took place on 4/28/1990.
