  • As a person that works in a pro recording studio there are 1

4 things that need to be changed. 1: to use a USB audio interface, 2: to get a condenser microphone for beginners I would use a Behringer C1 as it is only £25 and good value but I now use rode mics, 3: get rid of the XLR-jack as that is an unbalanced signal, and lastly that desk is 4 channel 2 mic and 2 stereo (a left and a right input for both channels)

  • @mouse999help yeahh,, i have been learning :L i now have a rode mic and better cables etc

  • Poor setup

  • @georgefall5 It's £150. what u expect? i've got better now but it comes to much more than that

  • @TiggerAndFreinds Entry level condenser microphones start at £30s, a basic 2-4 channel audio interface sets you back £50 onwards and usually comes with decent software. Pop sheilds, Stands and cables you could put £30-£40 towards. I don't see much use in the 8 channel mixer when you've just compensated on microphones.

  • @georgefall5 There's little differance made by an entry level condenser (although expensive ones are good). And the more the merrier if you ever need them to plug into a PA system. If you litterally just want to record your voice a little mixer or even a USB microphone are great but for more (which to be fair i've only done 2 or 3 times)

you need larger. It's crap, i agree. but it works.

  • Dude for beginner studio I spent 2000$... Drums, studio monitors, interface, MIDI keyboard, condenser vocal mic, dynamic AMP mic, 2 pair of headphones, mic stand, guitar amp and so on! If you want normal studio not crap you need about 3000$. I still need mixer for more channels and more things for good work. So you can't call it studio if you spent 250$.

  • @georgefall5 I already have a better setup than all of this stuff. I wouldn't say the mixer and multiple mics are pointless. Twit, MLR and many others all used mixers and multiple miss even when they started up. I already use mixers and multiple mics for multiple people in house studio. Sony make the best set of monitors money can buy.

  • @Sk4zZi0uS If your looking at podcasting, The mixer and multiple microphones is pointless. If your going for recording instruments, theres more effective alternatives. Headphones tho - One of the best things buying a decent set.

  • @georgefall5 I wouldn't say its poor. Its pretty decent for an entry level setup. I know some big boy podcasts that use less than this.
