And Fridays did do well, only because SNL wasn't doing so well in its sixth season (1980-1981). Of course, that didn't stop ABC from moving it to a different timeslot in its second year, which made the ratings plummet. Fridays did air in reruns for a time on the cable channel USA, but the show hasn't aired on TV since.
And I specifically remember reading that Michael Richards signed a deal that would prevent Fridays from being put on to home video (which is why it's not out on DVD).

Friday's. It ran one or 2 seasons in the very early 80's as a competitor to SNL.
