Partying at a friend's the other night when he started mixing up this bizarre drink called the Moscow Mule.
(check it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moscow_Mule#History).
It's made with ginger beer, which adds a bit of spice to it — and the party, as you'll see. Crazy times. He mentioned something about the drink originally being served in a copper mug. Any idea where I can get my hands on a couple of these bad boys?

  • I'll second the Natrona BC product...

Their Jamaican ginger *beer* is to die for.

I'll drink it straight... but works for Mule and for Dark and Stormy. (lime and rum or Cachaça)

  • Reed's Premium ginger brew is pretty good, though. Their ginger beer just tastes like... spices. So yeah, I guess it is spicy, but not hot. Okay. Ginger People makes a good ginger beer, too. You can make your own using recipes online, just quadruple the amount of ginger in it. I juice ginger and use that. Mmmmmmmm.

  • That looks like Reed's Ginger Beer. That's the worst one I ever had. Try Goya or, if you can get your hands on it, Natrona Bottling Company's. Jamaican style is the best. Reed's isn't spicy and doesn't taste like ginger. Archer Farms (Target) makes a very good non-Jamaican style ginger beer. I just got a set of 4 copper mugs from eBay with the mule on the side.

  • The Mules Rules!Where can I find a Moscow Mule?
