Ok, with my brand new circuit installed I am able to run a true test on my system as to how much power it is using. I have found out that the power draw is more then I even first suspected!!!

A secondary question is asked to EVGA...how do they think that their SR-2 1200W PSU can power such a build as seen on the internet??? I don't think it is possible at stock settings, let alone overclocked setting. Please watch and you shall see.

  • Isn't wall power (AC) different when converted to useable computer power (DC)? Because then the EVGA 1200W PSU would make sense, if they converted differently.

  • Is the sr2 any good for gameing

  • When would the cost of running that beast out price the cost of making it????

  • what a beast

  • @carbinfibre sr2 will not run i7 only xeons

  • Jesus man do you really need that supercomputer ?

  • W8 so my Silverstone Strider 1500W ST1500 will run: EVGA SR-2, x2 intel i7 2600k, x2 GTX 590??

  • within few years, your power bill will worth as much as your computer...
