I had major problems with the final level too. Countdown was abuse to my wrist, and Sambomaster had me so stressed up.
And yeah, a direct port wouldn't have sold that good since most people in the western world wouldn't get the references that much.

Oh man, you monster! I'm still having the world's biggest headache with the final level on hard! It's the third section that gets me. EVERYTIME. D:
But can you imagine how poorly a direct port of Ouendan would've sold?

I agree. I love both Ouendan and EBA, and it's the same type of gameplay. The creators just realized that it would be better to make the game a bit different for western audiences.
It's not the story that made me buy these games, it was the gameplay which I love. I got Ouendan 2 on Saturday and I'm now busy with attaining S-ranks on cheerleader mode.

EBA was pretty fun in my opinion. It was more of the same but with English language music, I don't see how that could be a problem.

By the way the game rocks sooo much I just bought it today and started playing on the train on my way back home *_______* it's greatest game ...really AWESOME

Yo chillout man....... I doubt he / she was calling it EBA 2.He / she was prolly just making a reference to it for those who wanted to know what kind of game it was. Besides it was developed by the same people anyway.
