Annother sound from a more than 200 years old instrument. This is called "Friesische Hummel" . This sort of instruments was built along the coastal area of the North Sea. (not UK) The instrument was fixed with clamps to avoid string tension on the corpus. The fret system sounds a little bit rustic. Frets were set by trial and error in those old days.

  • Nein, Die Hummel kommt vom mittelalterlichen mitteleuropäischen Monochord.

  • awsome dutch instrument

This is a German instrument. Originally it comes from Elmshorn near Hamburg. The Flensburg-Museum changed it with a renaissance carpet from Haderslev-Museum (Denmark) in 1906.
