Andre Aciman, the author of "Call Me by Your Name," talks about his latest novel "Eight White Nights" with Paul LeClerc, president of The New York Public Library. Noting that his novel's main character has no name, he says that literature "refuses to give easy answers"... Backstage at LIVE from the NYPL with The Daily Beast, February 23, 2010.

  • I LOVE THE WAY THIS AUTHOR WRITES! great work, i fell instantly in love with "Call me by your name". THX for posting this :) good to see Mr. Aciman speak of the novel.

  • Good-sized crowd, extremely interesting author and questions. Definitely interested in his current and future novels now. Nice background music, by the way, and very well-done editing, especially with all the various screen cut-outs, used very intelligently for emphasis. Thanks much, NYPL!
