Cornford Hurricane Quick Demo with Strat

This is a hasty run thru of my newly acquired Cornford Hurricane. Gain at 7 (of 11) and master at 2.5, all eq about 1 o'clock. Trying out a US American Series fitted with Bare Knuckle Mothers Milk pups and recorded straight into a camcorder - no fancy mic's (which shows in places). Includes a bit using a Keeley Tubescreamer.

Well, they are ALL good. The Rivera is very versatile, classy and robust, Zinky

was less versatile, but such a great package and quite light (weight). My issue withthe cornford was the single channel. I wanted to be able to dial in distorted and clean sounds and switch from one to the other but with the cornford, you're left to use the guitar volume, which means cleans are much lower volume than distorted - personally I find that hard to deal with. Also, the new rivera line looks soooo cool.

The BKP MM are just great. Vintage, lowish output sound.

@mattacjones What, so this amp only has one channel? No distortion and then clean? That is odd, could you buy a pedal though to help?

finally .. a tube screamer that makes tubes scream instead of sounding just muffled and all over the place trying to sound like john mayer.... Kudos for great combination of pickups and amp, it ain't easy to make a tube-screamer sound decent (much harder than what most people think)
