Mumford And Sons are a Folk / Bluegrass group formed in London in September of 2007. Having received critical acclaim from the Guardian on their Band of the Day online forum and resounding praise from nearly everyone who has witnessed them supporting the infinitely talented Laura Marling, Mumford And Sons continue to turn heads in Londons growing folk scene.
Their debut EP, Lend me your Eyes features 4 stunning tracks written in the short space of 3 months. Including lead single Roll Away Your Stone which was Radio 2s single of the week 15th - 22nd July, 2008.
The line up consists of Marcus Mumford [Drums, Guitar, Singing] - Country Winston [Banjo, Slide Guitar, Vocals] - Ted Dwayne - Ben Lovett [Keys, Vocals].

This song was named after the illegitimate child of Marcus' mandolin & Winston's banjo, born in a hobby shop off of I-72 after the instruments fell in love and ran away together in search of a better price for a Costco chicken bake. They received a lot of flack from the band, especially Winston, who had a very personal connection with his banjo. He & his banjo went through a lot together, notably a zombie apocalypse. Winston has since put his banjo on a leash & only lets it outside on Tuesdays.
