@deeppurple28 LOL, not as much as the christian fanatics who hate Sagan's bones even after more than a decade of his death.

I really don't know, nor care, when did Sagan used pot... It doesn't mean much. But I do believe he was in favor of releasing the stupid prohibition behind it.

I haven't used a single type of illegal drug in my life, yet I don't see what's the big deal against them... specially pot. It must be a religious thing

@deeppurple28 Dude, he had cancer... and with out that thing if you are going thru chemo or radiation it is probable you are having an even worse time. Marijuana helps gain appetite back... and it's awesome! hehe

It should be legal for anyone over a age limit, buying it should pay taxes... or the other way around taking away tobacco and alcohol because these are the same thing, or worse.

Never tried it, not against it... I would test it at least once if it gets legality

@Tralman1965 Carl Sagan was as wealthy as any Issac Assimov, maybe less. You see he gained money writting books, and later being paid a 1970's TV salary... I don't have the exact numbers but it's probable he wasn't "rich" as you think he was.

On the other hand he was taken out of the science society just for the sin of being famous.

More children studied science and engineering because of him than never before, and you as a gringo must know this is an estrategic thin for your county

@Tralman1965 As for the intelectual response you gave me, the one about "all the things religion has done for humanity", you mentioned hospitals and feeding the hungry and helping poor... you forgot to say catholic nuns are the only ones heliping aids patients in africa, if you have aids anywhere in the world it is probable a catholic nun is taking care of you.

However how much hurting has it done, more than a millenium of destroying humanity. Gee thanks. Please study history first

By the way, I love Carl Sagan for what he was, A great astronomer and speaker. I read his books and love this series but hate when people like Sorrento1969 bring religion into it.

@Sorrento1969 Yes. Hospitals, The Red cross, feeding the hungry and helping those who nobody wanted to help let alone speak to. Religion has no respect for anyone. Do you even listen to the ignorant crap that you spew? I never saw Carl Sagan, who was very wealthy, feeding the hungry or clothing and housing the poor.
