What a wealth of talent never makes it to the charts. This video showcases a few, rendering their version of 'Stand By Me', originally performed by The Staple Sisters, made popular by The Drifters. An international gathering covering the planet.
Below is a link to a composite audio/video of a song whereby additional tracks were laid in by different singers and musicians from different places around the world. The finished product is tremendous! The song itself is that classic standard "Stand By Me" originally released in 1955 by The Staple Singers and released again in 1961 by the Drifters.

I'm certain this been brought up before but the Staple Singers' version and lyrics are completely different from the Drifters' verson and lyrics but they both are great.
