This is a common endoscopic finding: A benign gastric ulcer in the lower part of the stomach (antrum or prepyloric region) probably caused at least partly by the use of Non-Steroidal-Anti-Inflammatory-Drugs (NSAIDs)

  • Oh this looks good compared to mine, im 28 and just found out today that i have 4 esophageal ulcers and an ulcer in the antrum..Eight biopsies taken total. This is oh so very painful!!

  • @leciovidal I MEANT CONVERGING FOLDS...

  • LOOKINGA AT THIS ULCER I WOULDN`T BE SO SURE THAT IT WAS A BENIGN LESION.

NOTE THAT THERE ARE FORDAS CONVERGING TO THE LESION AND AT LEAT ONE OF THEM IS AMPUTATED, A FREQUENT FINDING OF A MALIGNANT LESION.

    HOW MANY BIOPSIES WERE TAKEN?

  • Were any biopsies taken to test for H.pylori?
