London can be quite the pretty city I'm sure it's look during the hight of the industrial revolution, AOS's teens, with all the soot and gas lamps made for quite a wicked look. Maybe a bit of an ember for his fire? Thanx to whoever made this nice journey.

The Windrush idea is to do with the fact that Brixton, whilst lively in the 19th Century declined in the early 20th. It became depressed and housing thus became cheap. When the new influx of people came from the West Indies, although it remained a poorer area the new people brought a vitality to Brixton. It is this death/re-birth motif that the film portrays. It was the place where AOS died. His work and philosophy underwent a re-birth hence the connection between man and place.

Psychogeography is to do with spirit of place. You can find out info on wikipedia and by googling 'psychogeography'. Also by reading works by Peter Ackroyd, Iain Sinclair and Stuart Home. It's all connected with surrealism and situationism the latter coined the name.
