Escondido's 'Resource Recovery Disposal Facility' is pretty much the coolest transfer ever. They have misters and everything to keep the 'aroma' down a bit, then there's MUSIC playing in this audio system they've got set up, all the workers there and drivers unloading get to hear the radio there all day, which I think is plain awesome. Then of course there's all the high-tech "electronic-eye", magnet, and more sorting equipment they have there for the recycling. And I couldn't go without adding that this transfer station, open 7 days a week, receives ALL sorts of waste materials (trash, recycling, greens, C&D waste, commercial trash/recyc., private haulers' trash, etc.) from the majority of North San Diego County cities/communities, including but not limited to: Escondido, Escondido County, Vista, Vista County, San Marcos, San Marcos County, Encinitas, Rancho Santa Fe, Solana Beach, Valley Center, and Poway. And for some reason, every time I go by this place (even on weekends) there is recycling piled almost out the building (and just imagine what it's like in December)! So the sorters and other EDCO staff have very busy work here, ALL THE TIME. Enjoy this video taken on a Monday back in February 2009, over a year ago!! Very old footage...so there will be many trucks that have since been repainted, or are not even existent anymore.
Awesome footage! Wish my transfer station is this cool! BTW, is it raining?

How come you didn't go over to where all the trucks were dumping??

@heiltruckfan Someone who worked there would yell at me...you dump where you're told to dump and that's all there is to it. You can't just go walking all over the transfer station.
