Government has no business meddling in marriage anyway, which is a sacrament and covenant between the man, woman and God.

Here is some history on what the government ''courts' have ruled on marriage; Also see my full article here http://www.opednews.com/populum/diarypage.php?did=10565

--------

Let's take a look at what courts have ruled regarding marriage contracts. Do you believe, like the state does, that the state is 'guardian of your morals'? Good grief.:

[8]This state is a party to every marriage contract of its own residents as well as the guardian of their morals. Roberts v. Roberts, 81 Cal App.2d 871 [Civ. no. 15818. Second Dist., Div. two. Oct 17, 1947]

------------
West V. West
In fact, the entire familial relationship involves the State. When two people decide to get married, they are required to first procure a license from the State. if they have children of this marriage, they are required by the State to submit their children to certain things, such as school attendance and vaccinations. Furthermore, if at some time in the future the couple decides the marriage is not working, they must petition the State for a divorce. Marriage is a three party contrct between the man, the woman, and the State. Linneman v. Linneman 1 Ill. App 2d 48, 50, 116, N.E. 2d 182, 183 (1953),

--------------
Citing Van Koten v. Van Koten...
The state represents the public interest in the institution of marriage. Linneman...... This public interest is what allows the State to intervene in certain situations to protect the interests of members of the family. The State is like a silent partner in the family who is not active in the everyday running of the family but becomes active and exercises its powers and authority only when necessary to protect some important interests of family life. Taking all this into consideration, the question no longer is whether the State has an interest or place in disputes such as the one at bar, but it becomes a question of timing and necessity....

  • Keith Bardwell, please go die in a fire. My children have not "suffered" and my marriage has lasted. Seriously, go kill yourself.

  • The judge was defenitely a jerk for this. If these two want to get married and have a family, what business is it of his??

People should be able to date and marry whomever they choose without anybody giving them shit for it.....

  • that dude needs his ass kicked

  • Bardwell should be praised for what he did.

  • @PhillyLucky7 Thats the problem you know black guys not black men. My parents were married for over 50 years until my dad died of cancer. Both my brothers have been married over 25 years. All my sisters are married over 20 years. In my family less than 10 people are divorced. Maybe you don't know enough black men.

  • this judge is almost making me keel over laughing. everything he says is hilarious.

  • Nigga you is wearin a bandanna and you is aksen for rights?

  • @PhillyLucky7 What about these white guys who get married and divorced numerous time like Charlie Sheen? Apparently white guys don't know what monogamy is either, so don't even go there...

  • Why do we need a license to begin with? (rhetorical question)

  • Those of you who think that this society has yet to grow up, raise your hand.

  • i guess america brings out the stupid in everyone
