I love the coil setup you have, seems to work great AND with no IGBT's, that's amazing. I am wanting to put one together to melt aluminum / brass / copper for very small castings. Would you be willing to share your schematic or block diagram? If I get it going I'll link the video to yours if you like. Thanks, obixmt

what type of high voltage power supply did you use???

There is no highvoltage supply, im using mains voltage for inverter (rectified 230VAC). For me, >1kV is highvoltage.

Awesome!! I have a novice question. How much power does it take to run? Is it possible to determine the power usage over a period of time? Like 1Kw per hour?

At full power, input is about 4kW. Power usage depends on time, lets say we are doing some heating work at 2kW and duty cycle is about 10% (every 10minutes, 1minute is used for heating). So power usage is approx. 0,2kWh. You got the idea now?
