Home surfing movies I made during a trip to Bali in 1978 (in order): Kuta Beach, Sanur, Nusa Dua, Uluwatu. You had to hike to Ulu back in those days. Shot with Sony 8mm camera. All footage by Brian Tissot. Music by Tony Kaltenberg.

As early as the 1920s, there were people saying "Bali has been ruined by tourism", and as late as this year, people are visiting for he first time, and totally falling in love with the place. Thanks for posting these movies!

awesome footage, these must be some valuable memories you have. Sometimes i wish i came here during the 70s to kuta beach, now it is infested with tourist...

Thanks for the memories. My first trip was Dec 1978. How was that long walk into Ulu! Can you believe how is it is these days, bike ride into Ulu and stairs down to the cave. No rickerty bamboo ladders!nAny other movies you convert would be appreciated. Thanks
