Betsy Likens in 7/8 on cello banjo

A traditional old-time tune that I learned from Miles Krassen's tab, but I play it here in 7/8. This version of 7 is counted 3+2+2 or "slow-and-a quick quick." Played on my Gold Tone cello banjo.

Would I be right in assuming that you are in a mountain minor kinda tuning? i.e regular 5 string gDGCD up a full tone.

Love that Cello Banjo,...thanks for a lovely tune---what is heard in the background,...sounds like happy bugs, maybe?......they are wellentertained there, withoutdoubt--all of nature is.

I think those are mostly crickets in the background, though we also have katydids here.

You really have to take a trip this year and record a DVD outside in different places. All you on different banjos with some scenes. Even playing some counterpoint to yourself. I'd love to hear that cellobanjo next to a babbling brook or a raging creek. Best sound and quality. I'd prepay for the DVD as I'm sure most of your viewers would. Call it a commissioned project. Loveya!! Now I have to go sell a surfboard or two to get one of those.
