@leatherfacefan1974 yes licensed falconers are permitted to trap passage birds (aka immature). when you do so you drastically increase their chance of survival. The majority of first year hawks die in the wild. When a hawk survives its first year its chances of survival is much higher.Most falconers release their hawks back to the wild after a season or two.also whenever a hawk is flown free by a falconer it has the option to not return but chooses to due so

Thanks! She's a year older and just as beautiful! She caught over 60 jack rabbits in her 1st 2 seasons. Best of luck with your bird and good hawking!
