Judy Garland(June 10, 1922 to June 22, 1969)singing, "Over The Rainbow," recorded "live" at her final concert in Copenhagen, Denmark on March 25, 1969 at the Falkoner Centret. The rose at the end is The Judy Garland Rose. There are photos of Judy at this concert, and of her actually during this performance in the video...about the time she is talking to the audience..."I'm dedicated to you...thank you for coming," and throughout the video in a red dress.
I wanted to say, this video gets so many views and comments that it's hard for me to reply back to all the comments...but I wanted to thank all those that do comment...and I'm glad you enjoy this song and video...it's always been a favorite of mine too! :))

  • Wonderful, so much Heart. She gave her all, whether tears or smiles. While true, her death came from a drug overdose, we ask why? As a musician myself, I think I understand. A person who devotes life to the Arts, especially of her caliber, feels very deeply, it has to be that way, else the song sung, will not come across. When you are sad or happy, think of how you feel. Then multiply that by 5 or 10. It is was her depth of despair, and not being able to find a way back, that took her from us.

  • @SunslightAndSong...omg...that's so beautiful...and so true...thanks for watching and commenting!! :)

  • Can someone please explain to me exactly why Judy had began to grow so loony in her final years? I read she tried to kill herself numerous times, married many men, and eventually overdosed. What caused her to begin doing this to herself? She was so beautiful. Definately the most beautiful celebrity in history, next to Marilyn Monroe, of course. <3

  • @TheAlxxHydeShow...I got to thinking about what I said...and I should have also said...that Judy had many, many happy, good times also...and she had a wonderful sense of humor...and had more talent in her pinky finger...than many could ever hope to have...and was all heart...but she also had many bumps along lifes highway...but it wasn't all tragic and bad...I guess is what I'm trying to say...and should have said in the first place... :)

  • @MrKingsRow Very well said!

  • @odowdfan... ;)

  • old hollywood is the answer to your question. They used to take stars and force them to take drugs that would keep them skinny, then gave them energy pills so they could handle the grueling never ending work (they had contracts where they had to do as many films as the movie gild said they had to) then gave them sleeping pills so that they could sleep. Not that she wasn't somewhat responsible for continuing in that vain when it was destroying her. But old hollywood abused it's stars dreadfully.

  • Tears

  • Thanks for this great and wonderful tribute to JUDY!!

  • This will ALWAYS be Judy's song, but the sad thing is, this is the last ever footage of her singing this, it's so breathe taking!

  • I would argue that this is almost a perfect performance. This, as many of you know, is the last recorded performance of Judy singing her signature song. And I hear so much love and emotion pour from her soul in this number. She knew this was the last time she would ever sing this song and judging by past recordings of the same tour the band did too. This was her "Swan Song" and she delivered it with sheer power.

  • Im going to cry

  • Judy <3 forever

  • it's like she knew this was the last time...
