Of all people I certainly love and respect Ms Franklin. She is a home girl but maybe she doesnt listen to the ppl around when it comes to her attire. As far as her weight, I'm more concerned about her health than anything. We love her and need her to be here in Detroit with us for many years to come. You see shes our mom, big sister, auntie and angel....

@flickfi although some of the outfits bother me a bit...I agree with you 97% I want to see her around for many years to come as well. She connects us to our history. She respresents what we stood for and faught for in solidarity back then.She is my childhood, my big sister, my auntie etc. and we love her despite it all.

I am worried when I see Aretha's size for her health and for no other reason as I love and respect her more than anything. I don't really care what she wears, if she's happy with it so am I. We want her around for many many years to come, happy and in good health. She truly is THE QUEEN.

Thanks for the comment @NOSUCHThing...many n Det. also wear clothing that is more sleek and low key as well. Detroit is probably one of those places where you can get away with wearing a wide range of fashion and colors. Keep in mind that we are also close to the east cost and look real snazzy in our blues blacks and browns too.Her outfit is usually to much for me though and eventhough I love my REE REE the only out fit I've thought was in good taste was in the Rose video with Lauren Hill.
