Reception of Newfoundland TV stations CJCN-4 (892 miles) and tentative CBNT24-4 (851 miles) on June 20, 2003 between 00:30 and 01:30 EDT. NTV and CBC fighting for supremacy on channel 4! The summer of 2003 was one of the most exciting DX wise in this part of the world with continuous overnight E-skip activity sometimes four - five nights in a row.

tvfmdx is a proud member of the "Worldwide TV-FM DX Association" dedicated to the long distance reception of television and FM stations.

  • I'm in Marystown Newfoundland every summer here cjma channel 11(ntv) would have this happen for a week or more we would get nbc or cbs cutting into ntv with their signal & it looked just like your video it has not happened since ntv started feeding their transmitters by satellite.

  • Nice catch!

  • actually, since most stations are out of lo-vhf, you're going to get more there from mexico/canada - plus, there's a few more days on some nightlights :P

  • I had no idea you could get E-skip during the night too! Will summer 2009 be fruitful you think?

  • excellent recording

  • Excellent TV-DX !!!
