I tride speed running once. 10 minutes in I figured it wasn't worth it and this clearly shows why xD.

@3102werdnA It's called Spring Ball. in Metroid Prime 3 (And Metroid Prime Trilogy, in any of the games after you acquire bombs), you can jump without laying a bomb by flicking the remote.

whats up with the morph ball jumping

Norion is still early; SS runs with this trick are still feasible.

Cool :D nice time save! lol

Ya i was trying to put that it my test run but decided it wasn't worth it after screwing it up too many times. In a real run that is segmented it should be used. Single segment i really don't think it is worth it. And you would also jump the last corners too.

Yeah, doing this in a single segment would be incredibly risky. I only said "somewhat" risky assuming this would be used in a segmented run. Imagine doing a perfect single segment run up to this point and then falling. Now, that would really suck.

"somewhat"? :P

It's actually not as risky as it looks. But it probably wouldn't be worth doing anyway. I just watched craztad's test speedrun vid for this section, and doing it normally takes 10 seconds. My way nearly took 8. 2 whole seconds saved...
