Was it just like maxxed out (like redline except for electric) going down there? seemed like it reached its top speed then stayed there. maybe some gears in it would help. or taller gears in the diff

I think you are correct. Since I don't have a clutch, it takes me about 2 seconds to shift gears. I endin up in second gear. I bet I'd do better over all, starting in second or even third.

I need a test and tune day at the track!

Eh, the porsche would've won, but he blew a breaker around the middle, had to coast the rest of the way. He beat the delorean on the next round though, shame they didn't record that one...
