muy guapo tu video si señor enhorabuena!!!

I do understand your point. I myself agree that many dubs are terrible and cultural things are lost. However, Slayers doesn't have so many references to Japanese culture and the like, due to being set in a different world based mostly on Europe. I just prefer Slayers in English, German, or Hungarian dub, and you just prefer it in Japanese.
I love Pan's Labyrinth and I couldn't possibly imagine it other than in Spanish also.

@MoreToMyLife and it goes not only for anime, e.g. (since video from above is spanish) I can't imagine wathcing Pan's Labirynth (which I like very much) in any other language than Spanish. . . because, like I said, you can see the cultural differences, another way of speaking, acting. . . and dubbing would ruin this :D you know what I mean? xd
-
@MoreToMyLife and one more thing xd you see, it's more than just a change of voice. dubbing is a change of almost everything. I mean... anime is made by Japanese people, they have their own culture, their own way of thinking, acting AND talking. and now, if you put an english voice into a character who acts and talks in Japanese way, it just doesn't fit. . . it's artificial, unnatural. :P that's how I see this.
-
@MoreToMyLife because dub ruins everything :P japanese actors gives emotions to the characters, personality and so on. when I hear Lina in other language she's just emotionless. besides, anime characters like to scream, and japanese actors do that screaming thing naturally, while in dubbing it sounds so lame and unnatural, e.g look at 2:51 , , , what the fuck kind of screaming is that? oO.
well, you've got your opinin, I've got mine, that's all :D I can't stand dub, you like dub, so whatever.
-
Why is that? Personally, I don't think the Japanese voice actors fit the characters (although the Japanese voice of Lina does a fantastic with the songs). Slayers is like El Hazard in the fact that the English version is better than the original Japanese.
The German and Hungarian dubs are also very good.
-
@MoreToMyLife it's ANIME, other dub than japanese is a profanation of the show :D IMHO.
-
Nah, the English dub is better than the Japanese dub for Slayers. It sounds better, fits in with the European setting of the show, and without having to read subtitles you can pay more attention to the show to catch little things that are difficult to notice.

@LordTerrans so congratulations :D you deserved that :D too bad I can't watch the another one because I LOVE spirited away ;( don't you have it on animemusicvideos . org? or somewhere? :D
eh, by the way, this copyright thing is a pain... I have a video of Charmed series, with audio deleted due to the copyrights... but hey, we don't earn anything from making music videos, it's just purely fan made... and they treat it like it was against the law or something xd
the song is GENIUS ^^ amv is quite amusing, but I hate spanish dub xd don't get me wrong, I like spanish language, I just don't like ANY dub, english, spanish, or whatever, because, anime should be ONLY in japanese xd at least in my honest opinion :D
but still, great work :)

@charmed4everfan Thank you very much! It's in Spanish for the simple reason I made it for an AMV contest in my city, in Spain. I have several friends who think the same as you, that's normal.
