We installed Pypes Electric Cutouts on the Mustang today. A flip of a switch inside the car will open and close them in about 2 seconds. It is noisy, I wouldn't have it any other way. You can really hear the Ford Racing Hot Rod cams loping.

  • I received them in Jan 2010, before I even put them on the one was loose and wouldn't stay closed, I received a replacement in Mar 2010 I think, same problem, they would close then back up open again, one closed slower than the other. I rewired it with a momentary switch for each one to close independently, still won't stay shut, keep opening right after closing. I gave up and live with the rattling, leaky header gasket sound, gotten used to it. Any solutions?

  • how much did this cost

  • I got the cutouts at American Muscle, They are Pypes, had one that wouldn't stay closed when I put them on, notified Pypes and it took about 3 weeks and several emails and phonecalls before they sent me a new one.it won't stay closed either. It cost me $20 to ship the old one back. I just live with it now. We put them on in my friends shop so I cost be $25 for band clamps, add muffler cement to the connections. I REALLY do not recommend Pypes, there has to be better ones out there. Helps I hope

  • MrKyle Schick, when did you send back the cutouts?

  • @Antigini no they dont wtf... and the reason for these is to help with getting under car, and cop issues.

  • I heard Race Ready Performance has a lifetime warranty on their electric cutouts. .

  • Electronic cut outs suck because they always mess up. You could always go with the manual cut outs.
