I just find it interesting that the cheerleaders had scripture on their banners for eight years before anyone complained. When JUST ONE PERSON said something, the school board took action. Why is it that Christians are always the ones asked to put their beliefs to the side so they won't offend anyone? The fact that this lasted for eight years without complaint says something.

Better there if it exists, than to live in a land where people would actually accept a God that would condem people for simply not believing a fairy tale oft proven wrong. Read Mark, then read Matthew which has over 650 verses pulled directly from it. Then look at the story say of the fruit tree which takes two days to die in Mark and one in Matt. I spent over thirty years in the military. I swore an oath to the constitution. That constitution places all men in equal footing under the law including this school and its cheerleaders. I respect the separation of Church and State as intended by the author of that amendment James Madison who even opposed a chaplain in the House and Senate as well as agonized over chaplains in the military. He felt they were necessary during combat but violated the letter and intent of the First Amendment.

Godly to call a man the devil? So this is your vision of Christianity? The reason the Christians were attacked by the Romans, the citizens of Rome was arrogance. They hissed and genuflected passing other temples which were numerous. The Pagans, and Pagan was not a dirty word as they were enlightened in science and literature, respected all beliefs, Christians did no such thing. The Christians would not take a pledge to Rome, like our pledge today, thus the first persecutions. Rome was patriotic
It'd be amazingly hard to be an atheist in that town.
