연화생대사(蓮華生大師) 파드마삼바바
티베트 死者의 書의 저자는 파드마삼바바(Padmasambhava)이다. 그루 린포체 (Guru Rimpoche)라고도 불리는 파드마삼바바는 인도 출신이다. 그는 티베트에 탄트라 불교를 소개한 것으로 알려져 있다. 8세기 활약하였던 파드마삼바바는 그 때 당시 인도불교학의 중심지인 나란다 대학에서도 수학 하였다고 한다. 파드마삼바바의 중국식 이름은 연화생대사(蓮華生大師)라 하는 데 '연꽃에서 태어난 자'라는 뜻이다. 이런 파드마삼바바를 기리는 노래가 있다. 연화생대사심주(蓮花生大士心呪)가 바로 그것이다.

Om (long 'o' nasal 'm') - Chakra at crown of head (usnisam), respresents realization.

Ah (long 'a' breathy 'h') - cakra at voice box, throat, represents recognition.

Hum (long 'u' nasal 'm') - cakra at heart, represents us, being, compassion.

Vajra - 'diamond, lightning, indestructible, enduring.'

Guru- 'teacher' from 'gu' - dark or hidden. and 'ru' - light, revealed=from darkness to light.

Padma - 'lotus flower' represents wisdom, the feminine principle of existence.

Siddhi - 'accomplished'.

when playing a fair few chants on top of each other this is the one that i end up hearing over the others, and wanting to hear

i mean, as a way of comparing buddhist chants, it really doesnt say anything at all :P

but as a way of deciding what to listen to, damn, i like this one
