On March 18TH 2011 i saw a VIA train stopped on the mainline about 2 miles east of the Belleville station. When i zoomed in to see why i could see that the front of the VIA P42 was black and saw a mangled truck against the front of the engine.A police officer said that the truck went around the down gates and that the driver of the truck was in serious condition.I learned later that the driver was a CN MOW employee and that he had died. The people had to be bused to Toronto because of the accident.

  • ouch

  • @barbarysheep1 I sort of thought so.

  • My nephew was on this train. He was just minutes from getting off at the Belleville Station. He had to wait three hours before they discharged the passengers.

  • Too bad. Another stupid who tried to beat the train when this one is too close to the railway crossing. It's sad.

  • 903 was seriously dammaged, and we can see the garbage truck one the track side
