Joe Anglin addresses the fundamental problems with the proposed Bill 50, a highly controversial piece of legislation introduced by the Alberta government that has the potential to deny basic civil rights concerning land ownership and the ability of the Alberta Government to manipulate taxpayer dollars for the benefit of a few private corporations involved in Electrical Power Transmission.
Albertans across our province need to say, "Enough is enough", with respect to the way electricity is generated and transmitted in Alberta. Most of the lines called "critical" by the AB government are not critical at all. We do not need to pay the high prices for electricity that we are because we have ample generation. We need more public input on all of these matters, not less. Bill 19 and Bill 50, now law, mean less public input.
