I have first hand experience with Landmark and while this is very interesting, the word enroll is not used the way you are saying. The way they use enroll could be stated as to "inspire someone with a new possibility". They very clearly say that it is nothing more than that. I also agree with you that the sense of purpose that people are able to create is very positive.

@GoodGiving Of course. One of the methodologies of cults like LM seminars (not that that's a bad thing) is how they redefine vocabulary. So enroll used to mean "put on a list" according to the dictionary now means "inspire someone with a new possibility".
No problem with that. It's what cults do ALL THE TIME.

This does SO much for LM. 1) It does not erase any previous definitions of "enroll" from a persons mind. Thus it's include. 2) it gives them plausible deniability if someone points out what the video exposes!
Cults are AWESOME in how they redefine language.
