@z0tx Switch off a magnetic field
-
@z0tx From what I gathered from the video and what he said they have the atoms being held up by Laser and Magnetic fields. That is also how they get so close to 0K. When they turn the magnets and lasers off the atoms will fall and they can see that happen.
-
How do they get the atoms to drop?
-
@8DX hahaha good point. hahaha you winn hahaha. sorry guess was just feelin like a troll

@cheguevaraisgod Get a life I'd say. What I said? So you think I thought I could really walk about with a handful of atoms at 100 μK? I fail to see how my comment gives you any idea of my knowledge (or lack of it) on "the finer points of physics".
Sheesh. I should've just commented on how my nuts were also flying all over the place while watching this video.
-
@8DX a joke, fine. But what you said has everything to do with the ignorance of the world when it comes to the finer points of physics.
-
@cheguevaraisgod I watched the video .. 3 months ago man. I was jk..
-
@8DX to fully understand and witness the characteristics of quantum mechanics. watch the original video.
-
Right, now we have to find some use for a handful of atoms at 100 μK.

great video!!!
As cold as my mother in law, amazing!
