...the big diesel engines and their generators live on though! I was watching the History Channels', "Modern Marvels" doin' a show dedicated to train-engine production from build to scrapping...at least most of the prime-movers go on to re-building & re-application in everything from electrical generation to marine-power...they even keep the original manufacturing-tags on the re-used power...

I think its part of a master plan to weaken the people along with high fuel and food prices all to keep us down and stop us mobilising against a corrupt regime and to stop us being able to be independant to force the new world order upon us and eventually that nwo will need a massive die off of people.
it is the antichrist.

@tpvalley Amen!

neither does the uk and both of us should be; we have ruined our industry with consumerism and greed, the more we buy from chine, the less we can make ourselves so then we become more relient on china and so on. and it will come crashing down if anything happens to chinas industry its like we r being set up for failure- maybe thats the idea?
who is the real enemy, osama bin laden or the people responcible for this predicament? and is it treason?
the rants regarding the destruction of a not all that popular locomotive.. I mean, "rising up"? Really? Luckily for most of us, some are not in the gun business !!
It's a train piece. Obviously to make one reflect..not to start a revolution for cryin' out loud. People, we can't save everything.

I hope they got those 12-244Ds out of there, and the genereators, to repower dead museum RS-3s and FAs. That's about all these turkeys are worth, anyway. Friction bearings, weak "adjustable" trucks...a waste of taxpayer money from day one. Typical Pentagon "planning" of the '50s..."lets have a ground war and take over their railroads!" Durrrr....we already did that in WW II, didn't work then, won't work anytime in the future.
