Whirlpool is in wetlands that have formed near the Missouri due to recent flooding. There are no drains or sewer lines in this area. Not really sure where the water is draining to...but it's pretty dang cool.
This is just south of the city of Great Falls, Montana. Haven't had a chance to get back to the site and check it out lately...the road along this portion of the river was closed due to even higher water. Lot's of limestone in this area so I suspect there could be a fracture in the sub-surface that the water is draining into.

I live near Sioux City. Exactly where is this pond?. Interesting to see if this whirlpool is still visible with the higher water.
