Mark is annoyed at iLife because...

My Dad got a new iMac, and i thought i'd have a go at making some movies, but nothing seems to work... Other than this video! If anyone can help with my issues of importing clips please let me know!

none of the footage from my little cybershot seems to be able to be used in imovie?

Did you resolve this problem?

I have a CyberShot too, which is quite old but has great quality movies. I downloaded a program to convert the MPEG files into Quicktime Movie files, soz can't remember what it's called but it was free so i could only convert files under 10MB or something. I managed to insert photos using the iPhoto album tab (more complicated than it needed to be!). The results after all that were fantastic, so it's worth the efort persisting (altho the finished video file's too big to put on YouTube!). Gd luck

I guess many people buy macs because the seem to be fun... Honestly I bought because of Imovie/IDVD i have loads of issues for the last 2 years.IDVD is completely rip off. If you thinking of having a mac because of imovie and Idvd features forget it. I had 8 out of 10 dvds waisted because of flickering images output from it.. some of them come without sound, sometimes they messed the videos chapters and so on...
