Water, flowing through the land, where once my mother father brothers and sisters lived' is the English translation of the song for any non-Welsh speakers watching this....the Tryweryn Valley including a whole village was flooded by Liverpool City Council (backed by their respective capitalist cronies) in 1963 just to provide water (which we have more than enough of falling out of the sky anyway) for the citizens of Liverpool. The church tower can be seen at times of low water so I've been told.

Goes back to the 60's. No idea now but in those days they drowned Welsh valleys to send water to England, then made the Welsh pay to get the water back. That's what this song is about.
