I still can't believe they got rid of such a great place for another mall. Yeah, like there were not already a DOZEN in Nashville. So sad

I lived 2 hrs from Opryland in Clay Co. I've got so many fond memories of the park, I spent many a day there. Even during my Navy days, when I was home on leave, I always went at least once while home. Last time I went, Alabama was performing. I got Randy to dedicate a song to my then-girlfriend. I regret I won't be able to take my wife or my neice and nephew unless they decide to rebuild it. It won't be the same, but I hope they do. BRING BACK OPRYLAND !!!!!!

I'm still extremely bitter about Opryland being replaced with a mall. I'd be a season ticket holder to this day.

Pisses me off they tore it down to build a stupid mall. No..I don't live in Nashville but damn it some of my best childhood memories are from that park and to know that its gone just really urks me. Tear down that mall and rebuild Opryland...

I performed in the "My Country" Show in the Summer and Fall of 1973 in the Theatre by the Lake. What great fun. I sang several solos including Wabash Cannonball, Hello Walls, There Goes My Everything, and others. Seems like yesterday.
