Slinging to PSP

Bit of an educational experiment to see if I could feed the slingplayer feed onto my psp via wifi. First attempt but works in principal.

eh, it's somewhat simple

he's got the slingbox sending to the PC

pc is re-sending that out via VLC

he's using portable VLC on his PSP to receive the stream from his PC

it's a pretty kludgey setup, but you can see that it works

that's like saying to use the sling software, you have to buy a slingbox

of course you need the base, don't be stupid.

the locationfree player works really well actually. I picked one up cheap off ebay.

When shopping Im particularly frugal & buyer aware. I personally I'm a huge Sony fan so ergo I buy their stuff. I have a Sony Flat TV when I was thinking about purchasing an iPod I wanted video movies, YouTube but I also wanted to enjoy a game etc. LocationFree Player works with the PSP I was going to purchase a Sony cell phone. Just like buying a Slingbox so nothing wrong with buying a LocationFree base was personally divided between the psp & mylo but I got the psp slim.

That is the LocationFree Player which is the Sony version of slingplayer, it works with LocationFree Base... which is the same as a slingbox, just sony and a lot worse and harder to use. if u wanna use location free player, u gotta buy a base, which is retarded.

how did u get the software on the psp?

cnet has a review on slingplayer saying that upgrade to 2.50 you can use sony's version of the slingbox.
