Carnaby St Undressed 90mins feature documentary, gives great insight into London's iconic Carnaby Street, the street that made London swing. The story of 1960s fashion and music is told by the owners of the fashion shops, the co-creator of Britain's first ever independent record label, and some popular musicians of 'the scene', including interviews with Roger Daltrey (The Who), Donovan, Frank Allen (The Searchers), Gary Leeds (The Walker Brothers), Peter Noone (Herman's Hermits). The programme chronicles how a generation that came out of war torn Britain started a cultural revolution, whose epicentre was Carnaby Street, that changed fashion and music forever.

  • Kymoeser .....Is this track available to buy? I've searched and searched with no luck :(

"Rainbows in my head" by Richard Myhill

    Thanks

  • @Dappycow I don't think you'll be able to find it to buy but you'll have to wait when we release the sound track of the film that'll go with the DVD next year

  • "Stick around" by T. Allen

  • We are considering bringing it out with a DVD of the film, but that will only happen in the next 6months. We spent a long time finding the music, I'm glad you liked it.

  • Does anyone have the soundtrack used in this film? Just as the songs were coming up on the end titles on Yesterday, they cut to a link to the Monkees. There's a song on it I'm after, sung by a female. Pretty funky.

  • I think your talking about "Soul Sister" composed by Richard Myhill, this was one of my favs too

  • Are you doing anything about getting this on US tv?

  • @kymoeser Thanks for such a quick reply, appreciate it... and I didn't say before but thanks for all the work involved - it had me glued to the TV with a big smile on my face (oh and imaginary painted flowers on my face.. oh and my hair was long and blonde :)

  • There was a tune towards the end of the programme that had a chorus that went "I wish you'd stick around"...really great 60's stormer male vocal. Any ideas who it was?

  • it's called "Rainbows in my head" by Richard Myhill
