I was starting our SB6000. Chassy started fine, and I was starting blade after blade when the 10Amp fuse gave up. Impresseve sound while it lasted though. How's that for a TV computer :)

  • Arf, that's bad... There is no UPS to protect the chassis ? or it's the UPS output fuse that gave up ? I hope you didn't lose any data...

How are the sun servers ? I ever user them ;)

  • @poussin78640 Well there was no UPS, and there was a 10A fuse on the mains :) (230V). You can't run a blade server on 10A fuse. :)

  • Uhm ... 230V and only 10A ? In wich Country you live ?

230V is always fused by 16A wich makes around 3,6kW output ... not just 10A and 2,3kW.

  • Ouch, that's rough! Where were you running this, at home?!

  • @zoranpucar You can say that again lol

I tried to boot the datacenter of our buisness (IT Support) off the mains supply (Our 3-phase was down). Spectacular bang!
